Meet Ketut, Your Local Guide in Amed

My name is Ketut. I was born and raised in a small village in Amed, where farming and fishing have supported local families for generations. Since I was around 15 years old, I have spent much of my life at sea, learning how to understand the currents, waves, tides, and changing weather conditions.

Long before Amedia Snorkeling Tour was created, I had already explored many of Amed’s underwater spots as a fisherman, snorkeler, and diver. Today, I take guests to places I have known since I was young, including the Japanese Shipwreck, coral reefs, turtle points, the Underwater Temple, and Gili Selang.

I run these snorkeling trips together with my family and local team. We welcome private and group tours, with boats available for around 5 to 15 guests depending on the trip arrangement.

For me, this is more than guiding visitors around Amed. It is a chance to share the sea, local knowledge, and places that have been part of my life since childhood.
